Big things are happening on the Oakland High School historical renovation project! ??Workers will soon start adding extra wall layers in the attic, 2nd and 3rd floors in the historical 1912 building,. On level 1, they’re already working on the electrical lines. The outside is getting fixed up as well, with masonry repairs and new window frames. In September, workers will start to pour new concrete. In the 1957 portion of the site, the crew is working on ceiling frames and filling in walls as they prepare to frame the inside walls at the entrances. New concrete is going in, too. It’s all coming together to create an amazing space for our students! #OaklandEagles #BuildingForAchievement #ConstructionUpdate #TPS #ThankYouVoters D/B team: BNBuilders and TCF Architecture, PLLC Follow for more construction updates: https://lnkd.in/gjWdW5VP

Great news! During summer break, Bryant staff will pack up their temporary spaces in preparation for the move to the new Bryant Montessori School in August. The new Bryant is expected to open to students on the first day of school this fall. The new Bryant Montessori School is almost complete and starting to look like a new school. Landscaping, earthwork and a new courtyard make it easy to picture Bryant students in their new school this fall. New playground equipment installation is in full swing while work crews continue street and sidewalk improvements through mid-August on the surrounding area of the school. Construction work remains on track for the school’s anticipated opening in fall 2024. Checkout the progress at Oakland's construction site! The gymnasium roof system on the 1957 building has been successfully demolished. In the 1912 building, workers are framing walls and joists on the second level, with structural framing starting next week. On the first floor, the concrete floor is being demolished, and stair demolition is set for next week. In the weeks to come, underground trenching, plumbing, and perimeter insulation installation. The new Oakland will meet the district’s vision for buildings that are student-centered with flexible spaces that the school can use for future classrooms or other programming needs. The renovated school is scheduled to open in September 2025. Meanwhile, staff and students will continue at the temporary site at 3702 East McKinley Avenue. Oakland is one of 8 schools being revamped thanks to the $535 million school construction bond passed by voters in 2020. Stay tuned for more updates! #BuildingForAchievement #TPS #ThankYouVoters #OaklandEagles More photos: https://lnkd.in/gjNeSUCY D/B team: BNBuilders and TCF Architecture, PLLC
