Congratulations to #TeamTKC on another record-breaking NYC Marathon this year! On Sunday, November 3, 2024, #TeamTKC, Tackle Kids Cancer's running team, represented us at the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. For the second straight year, the team set a new record-breaking total, surpassing our 2024 goal with more than $207,000 raised – and counting! As an Official Charity Partner of the prestigious marathon, we are grateful to have such a dedicated group of runners, including Hackensack Meridian Health team members, family and loved ones of TKC MVPs (most valiant patients) and those who want to make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer. Yesterday, a special Handprint Ceremony was held at Hackensack University Medical Center to celebrate two significant grants from Hyundai Hope on Wheels? - a $100,000 grant to support a nurse navigator in the Adolescent and Young Adult Program at the Children's Cancer Institute and a $400,000 grant to support the pediatric oncology research of Dr. Johannes Zakrzewski at the Center for Discovery and Innovation . Several of our TKC MVPs (Most Valiant Patients) joined us to commemorate the occasion by dipping their hands in paint and placing their handprints on a Hyundai vehicle, symbolizing their fight against pediatric cancer and their hope for a cure. Thank you to our friends at Hyundai Hope on Wheels? for their generosity!
