What a fantastic Day 2 at the 2024 TACCSAA Conference! We had a jam-packed schedule filled with informative sessions. Vidya Moorthy's session on Geo-politics and community colleges was eye-opening. Tim Cason's insights on campus wellness and safety were so beneficial to all the student affairs participants. Best-selling Author and Women's Advocate, Alejandra Campoverdi's discussed her memoir as a first gen student. Her story connects to so many of our students and backgrounds. Check out her book, First Gen! Chelsea Biggestaff's discussion on workplace appreciation was valuable. And Linda Garcia, Executive Director of CCCSE took us on a journey through student Aha moments! What a great first day at the 2024 TACCSAA Conference! The presentations on cultivating belonging and a sense of purpose with Neurodiverse students were enlightening. Hearing the students share their stories and experiences was truly inspiring. And our session with Ray Martinez III, President of TACC, provided valuable insights on public policy in Texas. Looking forward to more learning and networking opportunities tomorrow! And to end the day, we just had the best time breaking bread with our peers at Easy Tiger. The food was incredible, and the conversations were even better.
