New on the blog, Jason asked our team members what we’re drinking with Thanksgiving. You might be surprised by the diversity of the answers, but don't be. Thanksgiving pairings are an opportunity to experiment with ideas of what might pair well with the wide range of dishes typical for this celebratory meal. Our selections stretch from Tablas Creek (of course!) to the Loire, Champagne, Beaujolais, the Rh?ne, Italy, South Africa, Sonoma, Willamette Valley, and several of our neighbors. We hope you get some ideas from our staff picks, and we hope to get some ideas from you! Let us know if we missed any proven pairings from previous years. Cheers! https://lnkd.in/gkwPamKc

November is the month for epic vineyard photos here in Paso Robles! This week, Proprietor Jason Haas took a walk through the vineyard to document the beautiful scenery all around us. From his introduction: "Something about November just hits different. Maybe it's the lower sun angles. Maybe it's the clouds. Maybe it's the fall colors. Or maybe it's that daylight savings has ended, so I'm here at the vineyard as the sun sets each day. Whatever the reason, it's a month where I find myself grabbing my camera and walking west to chase the setting sun more often than any other." Paso Robles Is Ridiculously Beautiful Right Now, Autumn Transition Edition! We've had a hot last few months, but by the middle of last week, it was clear that the weather was changing. This week is forecast to top out, most days, in the 70s. And clouds are creating some spectacular skies. On this week's blog, Proprietor Jason Haas takes us for a walk on one of these particularly beautiful evenings. https://lnkd.in/gXR7g-CF

This is our full-time crew here at Tablas Creek. They were here every morning between 2 AM and 3 AM, picking the fruit we brought in for harvest. Most of them have worked with us for over two decades, and all of them have been with us through multiple vintages. It is hard to fully express our gratitude to them for their hard work and consistently positive attitudes. The work continues. Yesterday they gathered to recap harvest and plan out what's next for the vineyard. They set our cover crop planting plan in motion, mapped out where we'll move our sheep, and picked out spots to pull our Yeomans Plow to prepare for rainfall this winter. Thank you, Crew!

That’s a wrap! This bin of Grenache is the last to be picked off our estate from the 2024 harvest. A series of heatwaves and cooldowns made it hard to predict when we might finish picking fruit, but we made it through, and we're happy with the result! We're seeing some of the highest-quality fruit we have seen, and with a happy, healthy vineyard and team. There's still plenty of work to do in the cellar for the next few weeks, but for now we'll celebrate this milestone. Cheers!
