Today, T.R.U.S.T. South LA completed wellness check calls and distributed critical air purifiers to our members and Community Land Trust residents impacted by the poor air quality caused by the recent wildfires. South LA already faces some of the highest asthma rates in the region, and this climate crisis is deepening existing health inequities in our community. Families and workers—especially domestic and outdoor workers—are disproportionately bearing the brunt of hazardous air quality and wildfire impacts. To meet these urgent needs, we are raising Rapid Response Funds to provide air purifiers, masks, and direct support to those most affected. We are also advocating for resources and policy changes that address health equity and create lasting safety nets for our communities. Please consider donating to T.R.U.S.T. We are growing! T.R.U.S.T South LA is hiring a part-time staff accountant to join our team as we deepen our work to support citizens rights in housing and more. T.R.U.S.T. South LA is seeking a Part-Time Staff Accountant who will play a critical role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. This role is essential in ensuring that T.R.U.S.T. South LA’s programs are executed smoothly, with a strong focus on financial stewardship of the organization’s $3 million annual operating budget, as well as managing relationships with multiple vendors and stakeholders. We seek a compassionate and mission-driven part-time staff accountant to join our team to handle transactional accounting, financial analysis and reporting, and audit support, and the implementation of financial and compliance controls. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community and support critical social change in South LA. This role requires a diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented self-starter who will contribute significantly to the T.R.U.S.T. South LA team. You will provide crucial decision support, ensuring that financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
