关于我们
At T.Lake, we love getting our hands dirty. We understand that transforming spaces, be it a small garden or expansive urban landscape, never really happens hunched over a drawing board. While that’s still an important part of the process, it’s the building and planting, the digging and transforming that, in the end, indicates what a project can – and will – become. For us, environmental design means addressing a space’s history, surroundings and the ways people will engage and interact with it. That doesn’t happen in an office. It can’t be plotted and drawn. Being true to a space means becoming part of it – and you can’t do that without moving a little dirt. Our Company T. Lake Environmental Design is a full service landscape architecture, land planning and landscape-contracting firm with completed projects from Central Florida to Middle Tennessee. Experience Founded in Florida in 1990 and chartered in Georgia in 1992, T. Lake is experienced in all aspects of landscape design, construction and maintenance. Awards & Accolades Our clients and peers have recognized projects we have completed throughout the Southeast: 2006 Grand Award – Streetscape Revitalization Georgia Urban Forest Council 2006 Silver Award Design Installation – Residential Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) 2006 Merit Award Design Installation – Commercial Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) 2001 Silver Award Landscape Installation – Commercial Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) 1999 Grand Award Landscape Installation – Institutional Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA

We sometimes get the question: What should I do if I missed my fall pre-emergent treatment? 🌱 If you didn’t get a pre-emergent down last fall, you’re probably starting to see weeds pop up early this year. Don’t worry—it’s not too late. A post-emergent weed control application can clean things up and get your lawn back on track. Have questions about what to apply and when? Our team is here to help! #tlake #tlakeenvironmentaldesign #lawncarefaq #weedcontrol #georgialawncare #nationallawncaremonth #landscapetips

With April being National Lawn Care Month, we’re highlighting some of the most common questions we get this time of year. One we hear often: 🙋♂️Should I fertilize my lawn as soon as I see green? The answer—not yet. Early green-up can be misleading. Fertilizing too soon encourages tender new growth that’s highly vulnerable to late frost. Hold off until the risk of frost has passed and soil temps are consistently warm. Your lawn will thank you later! #tlake #tlakeenvironmentaldesign #nationallawncaremonth #lawncarefaq #georgialawncare #landscapetips

Georgia lawns are waking up early this year due to unusually warm weather. Here's what you need to know to protect your landscape: ❓ Q: Why is my lawn greening up earlier than usual? ✅ A: Warmer winter temperatures have caused grass to break dormancy early, making it more vulnerable to late-season frost. ❓ Q: Should I fertilize my lawn as soon as I see green? ✅ A: No. Fertilizing prematurely encourages delicate growth, risking damage from frost. Wait until frost danger passes and soil temperatures stabilize. ❓ Q: Is it safe to start watering my lawn now? ✅ A: Not yet. Watering too early can trigger tender new growth that's easily damaged by frost. Hold off until consistently warmer weather sets in. Have more questions? We're here to help your landscape thrive, no matter what Georgia weather brings! #tlakeenvironmentaldesign #georgialandscaping #lawncaretips #earlygreenup

Spring training isn’t just for baseball. ⚾️ Around here, we believe in sharpening our skills—whether that’s with pruners, pesticide knowledge, or improving how we approach maintenance properties with LEAN job management. In late February, I headed to Texas for the Authority Brands Convention with my wife and younger son. You’d think I’d come back with pages of notes and a camera roll full of inspiration, but no—I took exactly one photo of the Dallas skyline. 🏙️ That’s it. Too busy to do much else. (It was a nice skyline, though. Zoom in and you will see Pegasus.) Lawn Squad is part of Authority Brands, and we’re proud of our partnership with them as we grow stronger together! #tlake #tlakeenvironmentaldesign #lawnsquad #lawnsquadofcentralgeorgia #springtraining #landscapeindustry #landscapetraining

This year's warmer-than-usual temperatures have caused lawns and landscapes across Georgia to wake up early. While an early green-up may seem like good news after winter’s chill, it actually poses significant risks to your grass and plants. 🌿 Once lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers begin growing, they become vulnerable—especially to the late-season frosts that commonly strike Georgia around Easter. Young, tender growth is particularly susceptible, and a sudden cold snap can leave lasting damage. Given Georgia’s unpredictable spring weather, understanding how to protect your landscape is more important than ever. This year’s weather swings—from 80°F one week to 17°F the next—have caused an early green-up, leading to potential lawn issues: ➡️Frost Risk: Grass and plants breaking dormancy too soon are vulnerable to late-season freezes, which almost always hit around Easter. ➡️Weeds Are Thriving: Crabgrass and broadleaf weeds, which usually emerge in mid-March, are already showing up due to fluctuating soil temps. ➡️Pre-Emergent Timing Is Critical: If you didn’t apply pre-emergent last fall, weeds will be a bigger issue this spring. We’re carefully adjusting application rates to maximize effectiveness. ➡️Don’t Rush Fertilizing or Watering: Encouraging early growth can set your lawn up for damage when the next cold snap arrives. At T. Lake, we work with nature, not against it. Our team and our sister company, Lawn Squad, specialize in keeping lawns healthy despite Georgia’s unpredictable weather.
