US retailers are looking to (or already have) diverted cargo ahead of the Jan-15 deadline for the ILA-USMX contract extension. With ILA walking out a couple weeks ago, no good news coming from the talks since the strike in early October, and ahead of proposed "Trump tariffs", retailers have been shipping through the west coast ports...primarily LA/LB. Inventory levels are high, so the mad rush prior to Jan-15 may not be as bad. Lots of questions ahead with the timing of the Jan-15 contract extension...and Biden leaving office, and Trump's inauguration only 5 days after that.

Schneider started TGS in 1985 in the back room of his father-in-law’s fruit packing shed. After only six months, and a lot of hard work and success, Tim incorporated and within the next year bought the property across the street, where we are today. In 1993 after graduating from business school, Tim’s son Peter started working at TGS full-time. After only six months of working together, Tim sat Peter down to ask what he thought of the business and what he wanted…the answer is what TGS is today. Together, Tim and Peter have grown TGS into a well-known and highly respected drayage company in California. TGS offers an array of drayage services to meet your demands. The operations includes international drayage, domestic intermodal drayage, LCL services as well as shuttle and yard services. What we are most proud of is delivering smiles and satisfaction. TGS focuses on you. You the customer; the driver; the TGS associate; the contractor; the mechanic helping on the side of the road at midnight; the association working hard to fight for our industry. T.G.S. Logistics, Inc.'s Fresno terminal is TGS's oldest. We have been at this location since 1987. It's a five-acre secure yard, with five more being added behind us in 2025. What makes this terminal unique is it's versatility. In one week our company drivers can go to the ports of LA/LB, the port of Oakland, rail ramps in Stockton or Lathrop, or do local shuttles. Some will even report to our other offices and work remote for Carson or Reno if they have heavy weeks. We have dedicated our business to be flexible, versatile, all with a high level of service...a TGS trademark. We added a lot of truck capacity last year ahead of CARB regulations...watch out for those Bright Yellow trucks on the road please. ? We have 20+ company trucks and chassis, both with tracking. ? We have 60+ LMC partner carriers adding to our capacity and needs to flex up with capacity crunches. ? We have secure yards (Fresno, Lathrop and Oakland) and plenty of capacity to expand if needed. ? We have recently added capacity for handling any and all shipment types in multiple lanes, throughout northern Nevada as well as Utah and Idaho. ? We have company trucks and chassis, both with tracking. ? We have an expert and veteran team in Reno for all your cargo needs. ? We move both international and domestic intermodal cargo from the Oakland port and rail ramps as well as Lathrop and Stockton rail ramps to NV, UT and ID. ? We have secure yards and trucks based in Oakland, Lathrop and Reno, with plenty of capacity for import/export and domestic intermodal cargo. ?
