It was a pleasure to contribute to the #COFI36 hosting a Speakers Corner session on transparency on fisheries on behalf of the Fisheries Transparency Initiative. As Chair of the FiTI, I was delighted to have a conversation with Dr. Rocío Parra Cortés, Head of the Legal Division at the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture of #Chile, and Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development of #Ghana. Both spoke about the importance of governments joining the #FiTI to increase transparency and participation in the sustainable management of marine fisheries.
