We are thrilled to announce that our own Beverly Wilson Wright was confirmed last week as the new incoming Council President for the NC Child Support Council! Her tenure as NCCSC President began with the passing of the gavel from the outgoing President. An expert in the child support community with more than 20 years of experience in public policy and government operational solutions, Beverly joined the SMI family almost 10 years ago and currently serves as Assistant Vice President of our Child Support Services Division. Her knowledge and expertise have helped deepen our commitment to serving families and making a difference in their daily lives. “I am extremely honored to lead and serve as NCCSC President,” Bev said. “The NCCSC is a wonderful group of child support professionals who are resolute in their commitment to continue their education and training to provide the best services for the children and families they serve.” We are excited to see all the meaningful work Bev will do with the NCCSC next year to advance their mission of championing children in North Carolina. August marks #NationalChildSupportAwarenessMonth, an annual effort to bring attention to the important work child support offices across the nation perform day in and day out. #ChildSupport offices assist their customers with locate services, establishing paternity, establishing and enforcing support orders, modifying support orders, and collecting and disbursing child support payments.
