Read Adrián's story - Pursuing the American Dream - told by his recruiter, Chad Zehner, PHR. In late 2023, Adrián turned to System One for help with his job search. He was eager to secure a Maintenance Mechanic position that matched his skills and utilized his Mechanical Engineering degree. Adrián's experience in maintenance and production spans 20 years across Nicaragua and other Central and South American countries. Before moving to New Jersey in 2023, he managed production operations for Nestlé, a Fortune 500 company. Despite his impressive background, he struggled to find a suitable long-term job in the U.S. Like many, Adrián faced challenges in securing a job that matched his skills. He took on temporary and unskilled work just to get by. Despite these setbacks, Adrián's drive and work ethic shone through, and I recognized he had the qualities System One values for long-term employment placements. Seeing Adrián's potential, I helped translate his resume and introduced him to a Maintenance Manager at a Fortune 500 food manufacturer. Although a position wasn't available then, Adrián remained resilient. After a six-month project in Miami, we reconnected, and the same company offered him a temp-to-hire Maintenance Mechanic position. Since joining the team, Adrián has excelled in learning USDA rules and regulations, fixing equipment, and mastering the ERP system. His dedication and skills have impressed everyone, and I’m proud to report he's on track to become a permanent employee! Thanks for following along this week. In order to honor our contractors we wanted to amplify their voices. Read Yvonne's story ?? My name is Yvonne, and System One reached out to me, after finding my resume on Indeed. I was actively looking for work at the time, desperate to leave a job I felt trapped in, as many people do sometimes. I was losing hours, losing money, unable to do the things I would normally do with my family, and losing my self-esteem along the way. Tim Brinton, was my System One recruiter, and he encouraged me every step of the way, even to the day of my interview, when I still doubted myself whether I was qualified for the position of electrical assembler for our Transit client. Little did I know I nailed the interview, pretty much being hired on the spot, and started not long after! I was so excited to leave the workplace that was so terribly dragging me down and ready for new opportunities. Since being at our Transit client for about two months now, I have thrived. I’m learning so much and building on the skills I already have, and am the frontrunner to become bench assembly lead. I was given a chance, and as a female in a predominantly male workplace, I felt intimidated. I felt like I had to work twice as hard to be noticed! That is not the case. I allow my work to speak for itself, my attitude, work ethic and morals. This is the best company I have ever worked for and the opportunities are endless. Never stop reaching for your goals!
