The SRAA and Allegiant Air are excited to announce the ultra-low-cost carrier will resume their seasonal nonstop service from Syracuse directly to Myrtle Beach International Airport - MYR three months earlier this coming Spring! Responding to overwhelming demand for springtime nonstop service to the Grand Strand, our partner Allegiant will start the 2025 edition of their popular route on March 6th. “We can see the uptick in people traveling to Myrtle Beach during that March through May timeframe each year," said SRAA Executive Director H. The power of partnerships on full display! This past weekend we, along with our partners at the New York Air National Guard's 174th Attack, hosted the 3rd Annual 174th Attack Wing Runway 5k - Presented by SYR. It was yet another successful year with a safe, secure, and efficient execution of a partial airfield closure permitting runners access to pavement not often traversed by most of the public! SRAA volunteers, members of the 174th Attack Wing, and many others came together to make this a memorable race with smiles all around. Registrants were presented the opportunity to donate to the Gregory J. Harris Military Courtesy Room here at SYR, and a check was presented to a representative of the MCR at the start of the awards ceremony!
