SOS Stars ? Parker Lobel, PA works with the spine and general orthopedic teams at SOS. After earning his radiologic technology associate's degree from Hudson Valley Community College, he joined the SOS team in 2015 and worked in the imaging department for several years. He later returned to school at SUNY Upstate, earning his M.S. in Physician Assistant studies in 2022. After graduation, he worked as a PA at New York Spine and Wellness Center before returning to SOS in July 2024. In his spare time, Parker enjoys golfing and his family and friends. Dr. Smart is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in treating sports injuries, including treatment and surgical repair of injuries to the shoulder and knee. As a former member of the Cornell University Men's Varsity Hockey team, former draftee of the NHL New Jersey Devils, and participant in the US Olympic Festival for Hockey in 1995, Dr. Smart has an active interest in sports medicine. He currently serves as the team physician for Cornell University Men's Ice Hockey Team as well as numerous high schools throughout Central New York.
