October and November saw Synergy Food Sales exhibit at multiple food shows, specifically the Nebraska Commodity Food Show, Kohl Wholesale Fall Food Show, IL-SNA Annual Food Show, and MO-SNA Annual Food Show. These shows provided a platform to introduce new manufacturer products and network with customers and representatives. The MO-SNA Food Show in Branson, MO, concluded with a Synergy Food Sales and manufacturer co-hosted dance party, featuring Twisted Fate and a surprise celebrity appearances by T-Rav and Tay-Tay! ynergy Food Sales has been busy to start off the new school year! We can’t believe how fast this year has flown by already… We kicked off our fall fun with a trip to Quincy, IL for the Kohl Wholesale K-12 Food Show, the Nebraska Commodity Food Show followed, and have had numerous market visits by several manufacturers with some great customers! J.T.M. Food Group and Synergy also traveled to the Wichita School District and presented and ideation where we created several menu concepts for them to try. It’s been a busy month, but a fun one! Synergy Food Sales participated in the School Nutrition Association - ANC conference in Boston, MA from July 14-16, where we explored new food products and connected with valued customers. Synergy Food Sales has been busy this summer expanding! We decided it was time to spread our wings and branch out in to a new territory. Since then, we have spent time in Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska learning these new markets and meeting new customers. We attended the LaSalle Co-op Food Show, Iowa SNA and the Nebraska SNA conference food shows where we showcased our lines. To wrap up the month of traveling, we took part in a Kohl Wholesale broker training meeting held in Quincy, IL. On Monday, May 13th Synergy Food Sales had the opportunity to showcase one of our great manufacturers at the Upper Crust Vendor Food Show! Upper Crust Food Service is a large food management company that currently serves 48 national and international fraternity and sorority organizations. We came away from this food show feeling positive that Upper Crust Food Service LOVES Orange Chicken (I??????). Thank you Cindy for making the trip to work the show with us! On April 30th and May 1st Synergy Food Sales took part in a couple student tests. The first was at DeSoto School District and the second at Auburn-Washburn School District. We featured product from Red Gold, The Switch, Amazing Raisins, Tasty Brands and Yang’s 5th Taste! It’s always fun to interact with students and get their opinions. On April 21st through April 23rd, the Synergy Food Sales team attended the American Commidity Distribution Association (ACDA) Annual Conference in St. Louis. This organization blends all branches of the USDA’s Donated Food Program together (School Districts, Brokers, Processors, Distrbutors and The USDA). It’s nice to see such a large group of professionals uniting to help improve this wonderful program that helps nourish so many children! While there we found time to take in a few nice dining outings and got to watch a couple Missouri K12 Foodservice pro’s do their thing! The past few weeks, Synergy Food Sales has been in “Food Show Mode”. We showcased our fine manufacturers at the School Food & Nutrition Directors Association (SFNDA) then again at the Heart of America (HOA)Expo the following week. Both of these shows were well attended and the hosting organizations did a nice job putting everything together. It was great to catch up with all our customers and manufacturer reps. From January 24th - January 26th the Synergy team hosted our annual Synergy Food Sales Roadshows. This is a three day food show that travels from Kansas City to southwest MO and wraps up in St. Louis. This year we had a terrific turn out with great representation from our clients, and even better support from our great customers! Thank you to all who came out to make these events a success!
