Today’s Health Day was engaging and inspiring. Thank you to the health leaders for taking the time to educate and share your worlds with our class, and for the critical work you do in communities across Hillsborough County. ?? Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS): This educational institute prepares healthcare professionals by providing immersive training in clinical and patient care skills. Our class toured their state of the art facility and learned about the importance of simulation. ??Thank you Laura Darrow Frost, Assistant Director of Business Developement and Paul Ayres, Jr., Director of Education and Research Administration. ?? St. Joseph's Women's Hospital + St. Joseph's Children's Hospital: In addition to a tour of the incredible facilities, the class learned from health leaders about research and advocacy. They experienced hands-on simulations of the incredible and life-saving work of Child Life Specialists and Registered Nurses. ??Thank you Shari Crowe, Director of Operations, and Sarah Naumowich, President, as well as all the frontline staff we met. ?? SynDaver Labs: This company builds ethical synthetic cadaver models for medical testing and educational training. The team crafts realistic models of humans and animals. The class saw firsthand the true artistry that goes into creating the models, and the sustainability efforts in place. ??Thank you Callise Revilla, Director of Marketing and International Sales. ??
