A great rundown of our day two at Canadian Music Week - we love them so so so much!
Day 2 of Canadian Music Week Mark Frieser (SyncSummit) was a great moderator of the Ad Industry and Brands work panel discussion. Christina Hull (Verizon), Kelly McCluskey (Grayson Music group) and Sam Parvin (Parvin Music) shared their professional experiences with music being used by ad agencies and brands. The next panel I attended was about Social media and Consumer behavior. Marcie Allen (MAC) moderated the panel which dealt mostly about the social media experiences of an up and coming rising star, 17 year old guitarrist Grace Bowers with the help of Lindsey Hastings (Music Agent at WME | William Morris Endeavor). Next was the turn of the panel about Music Synchronization. Very valuable information given by Amelia McCloskey (AM Licensing), Gabriela (Gabi) Henriques (Ultra Publishing/Helix Records), Justin Gray (Songistry Inc.), Steve Scharf (Steven Schaefer Entertainment) and Timothy Burnett (Heavy Hitters Music). We also had the pleasure to learn from the music supervisors. Moderated by Janet Baker (Sony/ATV Music Publishing) and panelists Celeste Debro, Ela Tengirsek, Susan Jacobs and Valerie Biggin. Deadmau5 was inducted to the CMW's 2024 Hall of Fame and interviewed by Richard Trapunski (Billboard Canada). My last panel discussion was about building a global fan base on YouTube moderated by Gabriel Obadia (YouTube ), artists and music producer Nineteen85, Rachel Jackson (You Tube Music) and Tuma Basa (You Tube) as panelists. Lots of invaluable information! Tomorrow is the last day.
