Collaborate, Innovate, Advocate with Beth Sundstrom, PhD on The Syncreate Podcast Episode 77. Full Episode Here: https://lnkd.in/gmTmRtjY Beth Sundstrom is a professor of health communication at the College of Charleston, where she is the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA), the Founding Director of the Women’s Health Research Team (WHRT), and the Chair of the campus-wide Institutional Review Board (IRB). She is a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Research Grant recipient and leading expert on health communication and reproductive health. Beth conducts applied research that informs the development of community-based public health interventions and nationally recognized communication campaigns. She is the author or co-author of three books and more than 80 scholarly articles on women’s health and health communication. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Communication and Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park, and M.P.H. in Health Communication and Women’s Health from Brown University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Tulane University. Our conversation focuses on Beth’s innovative approach to research, writing, and health communication initiatives. For our Creativity Pro-Tip, we encourage you to just write, just create, just get your ideas down into some tangible form, and don’t be afraid to fail, because what we often label as “failure,” is actually an amazing learning experience that is vital to the creative process. It’s trial and error; not everything is going to work the first time around (or the first 10 times), but if you keep with the process, something important will come of it. #creativity #collab #collaboration #innovation #advocacy #syncreatepodcast #creativethinking #syncreate #podcast #research #women #womenshealth #shorts

Syncreate Podcast Episode 69: Reflecting on the Year. Full Episode at: https://lnkd.in/g-3p-Vut In this installment of our Creative Spark mini-episodes, as we approach the new year, we discuss the benefits of taking time to reflect on our creative lives over the last year. It’s helpful to review the events of the year and projects we’ve engaged with, including highlights and accomplishments, as well as how we might want to approach things differently in the coming year. It’s a great way to consider where we’ve been creatively, how far we’ve come, and where we want to go next. Then we can begin to set our creative intentions for the year ahead (which we’ll discuss in Episode 71). This episode, like the mini-episodes that preceded it, also includes insights from our book, Syncreate: A Guide to Navigating the Creative Process for Individuals, Teams, and Communities, now available as an audiobook from Audible, iTunes & Amazon. For our Creativity Pro-Tip, we encourage you to take some time to reflect on your creative life (and your life more generally) in 2024 and write down your reflections in a notebook or journal. And please join our Syncreate 2025 Monthly Coaching Group to jumpstart your creativity in a supportive community setting.
