At Symmetry Laser, we recognize the immense value and innovation that laser-cut hypotubes brings to the medical device industry. The recent acquisition of Fortimedix Surgical by Medtronic highlights the growing importance of precision manufacturing in advancing minimally invasive surgical tools. Fortimedix’s articulating instruments, powered by laser-cut hypotube (LCHT) technology, offer unmatched flexibility and control—key features in enabling surgeons to deliver superior outcomes during complex procedures. This milestone underscores the critical role laser technology plays in creating components that combine structural integrity with extraordinary precision. As leaders in laser-cut hypotube manufacturing, we’re proud to contribute to this evolving landscape, where design and manufacturing excellence are shaping the future of healthcare. Congratulations to both Medtronic and Fortimedix Surgical B.V. on this exciting new chapter. Together, the industry continues to push boundaries, delivering solutions that improve lives. #lasercuthypotubes #symmetrylaser #catheters

Hmm Medtronic acquiring Fortimedix Surgical B.V. is an interesting step. This gives flexible instrument capabilities which can easily be applied to HUGO RAS as a flexible tipped smaller diameter lap instrument - or it could be applied to create a single arm - single port - or it could be applied to an endolumenal robot - Fortimedix are known for their high precision laser cut tube technology instrument capabilities - so a nice tuck in... This opens up possible capabilities for HUGO RAS learn more about rendezvous procedure here - https://lnkd.in/dAk3XGJP #surgicalrobotics #rendezvous #roboticsurgery #flexible
