???????????????? ?? ???? ?????????? ??????????????????????! ? A $200 million upgrade is set to begin on 1 May 2025, designed to get passengers from kerb to gate in just 15 minutes. New check-in kiosks, automated bag drops and state-of-the art security technology will boost baggage processing by 300 bags per hour and allow you to leave laptops and aerosols in your hand luggage. The security upgrade will be complete by the end of the year and the broader upgrade by late 2026. This means the journey through T2 will look a little different over the next 18 months. From 8 April 2025, Rex Airlines and FlyPelican departures will move to the T3 domestic terminal. Additionally, Jetstar Airways check-in facilities will be temporarily relocated by 28 April 2025, sharing the space currently used by Virgin Australia. Meet Sally Harvey (and Umi), who is a Detector Dog Handler for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry team. After a successful career as a veterinary nurse, Sally pursued her passion for working with dogs and found her perfect role in biosecurity. She’s been keeping SYD safe since December 2023! #IWD2025

It showed a positive shift, with our overall gender pay gap improving to 6.7%, down from 8% in 2022-23. ?? Turkish Airlines is going daily at SYD ?? Less than three months after commencing their inaugural Sydney-Istanbul service, Turkish Airlines is planning to ramp up to daily services from 12th January 2026. The airline will gradually expand its services in 2025, increasing from four to five flights per week in mid-June and to six per week by the end of October. And top it all off, this route will become a non-stop service to Istanbul in 2026! ?? Nigel Coghlan

Exciting news! ?? From 20 June 2025, Hong Kong Airlines will launch daily non-stop flights between Sydney and Hong Kong. Hong Kong remains Sydney Airport's 3rd busiest international route, and we're thrilled to increase capacity by nearly 20% with the arrival of Hong Kong Airlines. The Hon. Catherine King MP, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, said: “Since coming to government, we’ve landed a record number of air services agreements with over a dozen international markets, including Hong Kong, Canada, Malaysia, Chile, Turkiye, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. “We’re so pleased to see Sydney Airport leveraging Australia’s new bilateral air agreements – with Turkiye since November and now with Hong Kong. “The Australian Government is working to expand our international aviation network, because more flights means more competition, more choice, and a better experience for Australian travellers.”
