In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re shining a light on Rosa Salazar, a dedicated YCES Housing Navigator who has been part of the Sycamores family for 5 years! Rosa’s personal experiences inspired her to pursue a career in mental health, and her passion lies in making a difference in young people's lives. As an advocate for those who struggle to advocate for themselves, she has helped countless youth navigate the challenges of housing in Southern California. Today, we are proud to celebrate Yvonne Gonzalez, a dedicated Community Wellness Specialist, as part of Hispanic Heritage Month! Yvonne’s journey at Sycamores started as a receptionist in 2010. Over the years, her passion for helping others has grown, and she is now a Community Wellness Specialist. She loves working directly with youth and supporting families as they graduate from services, ready to succeed on their own. Yvonne is also proud of her cultural heritage and her ability to connect with the Hispanic community. “I relate to the culture and traditions, and my goal is to help break the cycle of mental health stigma in Hispanic families.” Join us in celebrating Yvonne and her dedication to helping families create a better life!
