Self-advocates, Awesome Westside Advocates, took the Statehouse by storm—armed with Valentines and powerful voices! This is an annual event hosted by The Arc of Indiana. We had an amazing time connecting with legislators, sharing our perspectives, and advocating for the services and supports that help each person to reach their full potential. Every conversation, every handshake, and every heartfelt message makes a difference. Together, we’re building a future where ALL voices are heard and valued. Thank you to everyone who made this day so special! Let’s keep the momentum going! #AdvocacyInAction #VoicesThatInspire

Today, we dove into some leadership training that had us all tuning in a little more carefully—literally! Sandi Brinson from JA/HR led us through The Collaborative Way, an awesome model that brings clarity, connection, and a shared language to help us thrive together. Our focus? Listening Generously. It turns out, those mental "filters" we all have can sometimes muffle the music of understanding. But with some practice (and a lot of laughs), we’re learning how to turn down the noise and tune in to each other better. Here’s to building a culture where everyone feels heard—and having some fun along the way!
