Booyco Engineering and Cobra team up in Sy-Klone solution for Australian mine ?? ?? ?? Cobra Projects, in partnership with Booyco Engineering, has equipped 14 operator cabins for an Australian mining company with Sy-Klone air quality systems that meet ISO 23875 standards. These cabins, designed for remote heavy equipment operation, provide a cool, dust-free environment to enhance operator performance. Still Have Questions on The New MSHA Rule The USA Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) published a final rule to protect miners from respirable crystalline silica exposure. This rule reduces the permissible exposure limit (PEL) to 50 μg/m3 (8-hour TWA) and introduces an action level (AL) at 25 μg/m3, bringing MSHA’s standards in line with OSHA’s for other industries. The rule mandates consistent exposure controls across all mining types, expands medical surveillance to cover metal and nonmetal mines, and modernizes respiratory protection requirements by adopting ASTM F3387-19 standards. MSHA estimates the rule could prevent over 1,000 deaths and thousands of silica-related illnesses by providing miners with better protection from severe respiratory conditions like silicosis, lung cancer, and kidney disease.
