    SWTCH Labs: Advancing Decentralized Technology Following our successful Alpha phase, SWTCH Labs continues to make significant strides: 1. Fundraising: We're raising capital for SWTCH Protocol audits, quantum-resistant encryption audits, and continued growth. 2. SDK Development: Our SDKs are progressing, laying the groundwork for SWTCH Protocol smart contract interactions. These will power our CLIs, Desktop app, and DApp. 3. First Integrations: ??? Private Encrypted LLM-as-a-Service (settled with crypto) ??? P2P Encrypted Messaging Desktop ??? CLI (Encryption-as-a-Service) These showcase the potential of the SWTCH Platform, all requiring Decentralized Identities (DIDs). 4.     Exciting news: SWTCH Labs has successfully completed the Alpha phase of our protocol! We're now moving forward with smart contract audits to ensure security and reliability. We're thrilled to announce that several groups will be integrating with our technology in the coming months, demonstrating the growing interest in SWTCH Labs' solutions. What's Next: 1. Rust and TypeScript SDKs: Currently in development, entering QA next week. These will power our CLIs, Desktop app, and DApp. 2.     SWTCH has created a "Proof of Contribution" smart contract to enable a rewards system, for SWTCH Contributors and Developers to earn SWTCH tokens. We will not have an airdrop. SWTCH network tokens require work to be earned. Users may contribute by posting and re-posting and it will be rewarded with SWTCH, post team approval. Early SWTCH Contributors will earn more tokens as they will taper as time advances. Contributions may be [Social Media Posts and Re-Posts, GitHub Commits, Others to be named] We will deploy the SWTCH DApp to support the registration of a DID for Contributors and then the supporting UI to sign the Contribution and submit to the SWTCH Protocol for approval. https://lnkd.in/gNJYegnX

    The SWTCH WhitePaper, Protocol and SDK documentation are available for review. https://lnkd.in/g7aPu6DC We have two upcoming product releases which utilize various aspects of the SWTCH Platform: - SWTCH, a decentralized encrypted messaging platform and supporting desktop with Quantum Resistant encryption. - SWTCH-CLI, a command line interface for interacting with the SWTCH Protocol, including encryption and file packaging for decentralized file storage and sharing.     During the research phase of writing the new SWTCH WhitePaper related to decentralized infrastructure, I encountered several issues related to identity. The key question arose: How do we manage identity? There are several identity systems which correlate with our goals of decentralization. Identity has been implemented extensively by all big tech companies, but are all their solutions are centralized, built to surveil and monitor our digital footprints. To ensure our security and to prevent impostors and bots from exploiting our networks we need to have decentralized identities that exist outside of these centralized systems. #Background Decentralized Identity(DID) involves the following core actors: - Holder : Creates the identity using their crypto wallet. - Issuer : A third-party who issues the identity after KYC to validate the individual or company. - Verifier : Verifiers validate the supplied claims. hashtag #Standards Existing systems for decentralized identity provide a solid specification to build on: - W3C : https://lnkd.in/eZxx-Dzi - DIF : https://lnkd.in/eHwCrjyB - ERC-725 : https://lnkd.in/eDzNn8rn - Manages unique idenitities for humans, groups, objects and machines. - Identities can perform functions such as signing, transacting, logging in, and accessing. - Claims can be attested by third parties or self-attested. - ERC-735 : https://lnkd.in/e9GZGkWg - Manages adding, removing and holding claims. - Claims can be attested by third parties, allowing DApps and smart contracts to validate the claims about a claim holder. ERC-735 manages claims for ERC-725 identities enabling a trusted identity network, by relying on external third parties to verify the identity. #DIDs Our goal is not to reinvent the wheel but to integrate valid and trusted decentralized identity systems.
