??? On March 12, Swissnex in San Francisco had the pleasure of hosting "Interplay of AI & Human Creativity", a thought-provoking panel discussion on generative AI's impact on music. ??We were delighted to welcome: Andrea Fanelli, Principal Researcher and Team Lead at Dolby Laboratories, leading their Machine Perception and Reasoning team Lukas Loss, Artistic Director and Founder of Interfinity, interdisciplinary and innovative music festival in Switzerland Mariecar Mendoza, Senior Arts and Entertainment Editor for the San Francisco Chronicle ??You missed the event? Key takeaways include: "We should see AI as a set of tools and use it as a collaborator that takes care of repetitive annoying tasks." "The invention and rise of the piano was once a similarly controversial topic around human creativity, music and technology." – Lukas Loss An interesting discussion emerged around the ability to distinguish AI-generated music from human compositions. While trained musicians can still spot the differences, the panelists noted it's becoming increasingly difficult for the general public to tell them apart. Andrea Fanelli stressed that for content creators on social media, AI-generated music is already "good enough" for background tracks, though it still cannot be convincing in a live performance context. The panel tackled critical questions around copyright and intellectual property in generative AI music. During the lively Q&A, attendees raised important questions about how to evaluate AI-created art and how to prepare young artists for an AI-transformed industry. The conversation explored both benchmarking creative outputs and adapting education for emerging artists who need to redefine their skills and career paths in this new landscape. There was consensus among panelists that live musicians bring a unique quality and that they remains a premium experience that AI cannot fully replicate. ?? A big thank you to everyone who joined us for this exploration of new forms of musical expression and the preservation of artistic authenticity in the AI era. NVIDIA GTC 2025 -?What’s next in AI? Yesterday, our AI Program Manager, Maulde Cuérel, attended the NVIDIA GTC (GPU Technology Conference), NVIDIA’s annual developer conference, which brings together over 25,000 participants for a week of innovation in downtown San José. ?? Highlights from the day: The event kicked off with an intense 2-hour keynote from NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, packed with announcements: - New GPUs announced:?"Vera Rubin," "Rubin Ultra," and "Blackwell Ultra" - New reasoning model:?"Nvidia Llama Nemotron Reasoning" - Strategic partnerships with GM?for AI-driven self-driving cars and robotics in factories - “Personal” AI supercomputers:?Launch of "DGX Spark" (formerly Project Digits) and "DGX Station" - AI foundation model for humanoid robotics:?Introduction of "Groot N1" - Exciting partnerships with Google DeepMind and The Walt Disney Company?to bring robots to life with greater realism and responsiveness ?? Exhibition Floor Buzz:?The exhibition floor showcased both industry giants and innovative startups, all demonstrating their latest AI products.? Of course the NVIDIA’s booth was packed.? We were happy to spot there a demo of?RIVR Robotics:?A Swiss robotics pioneer, revolutionizing last-mile delivery with Physical AI and advanced robotic solutions, which uses NVIDIA Isaac Sim, an application that enables developers to simulate and test AI-driven robots in physically based virtual environments. ??Insights from Industry Leaders:?A fascinating discussion took place between Yann LeCun, Chief Scientist at Meta AI, and Bill Dally, Chief Scientist at NVIDIA, on the frontiers of AI and computing. Yann LeCun shared his balanced perspective on AI’s role, saying,? “Our relationship with future AI systems, including superintelligence, is that we're going to be their boss.” ??Closing Keynote with Harrison Chase:?The day concluded with Harrison Chase, CEO & Co-Founder of LangChain, a widely-used software framework for integrating large language models (LLMs) into applications.? Given that many enterprises today are exploring AI agents, here are some of his insights: - Challenges with agents in the enterprise: Cost: Agents require multiple calls to LLMs, these costs can add up Performance: Agents are often unreliable - easy to demo, hard to bring to production Deployment & Management: How do you easily deploy and manage agents Observability: How do you know that the agent is doing what you want it to do? Data privacy: Enterprise-sensitive data needs to remain on prem - Stack to overcome these challenges: NVIDIA NIMs: Access the best open source models, cheaply WLangGraph: Controllable agent framework, so they perform well Lang Graph Platform: Agent-specific infrastructure for deployment and management Lang Smith: Observability (and evaluation) for agents This was just a glimpse of what happened at NVIDIA GTC! We hope you found these insights valuable. If you also attended, what was your highlight from the event?

In the future, where we have robots everywhere, l would love a part of them to be open so that we know exactly what's inside."? ??Arthur Mensch, CEO & Co-founder, Mistral AI “ Being Open source has been very important from the very beginning of our journey. We started the company with the conviction that we needed to make AI more decentralized and less controlled by a few companies. And the best way in which to make technology more decentralized is to open source it and trust other companies to take what you're releasing and make it better and then contribute it back.” ??Adam Evans, EVP & GM, Salesforce AI (in conversation with Cristina Criddle, Technology Correspondent, Financial Times) “Will people prefer to speak with AI agents over humans?" “ Absolutely. Because when you call, it has to work. It has to be fast, available 24/7, and know your history as a customer. No more frustrating transfers or re-explaining yourself at every step." Stay tuned for Day 3! swisstech Switzerland Global Enterprise, Business Location Switzerland, Présence Suisse, Swissnex in San Francisco, Karine Wittmer, Christoph Besmer, Manuel Haymoz, Maulde Cuérel, Milo Baker
