The achievements of our Green Energy project in France Last week, we celebrated the inauguration of the Green Energy project at the SWISS KRONO site in Sully, France, after two years of construction. The project, implemented with two joint venture partners Dalkia and Meridiam, includes the construction of a biomass energy plant that will power new low-temperature OSB dryers. As OSB is a key material for the development of wood construction, we expect that biomass thermal energy production will enable our plant in France to increase OSB capacity to approximately 550,000 m3/year. The biomass plant will also enable us to significantly reduce energy consumption and dust emissions in accordance with European regulations (BREF). The project represents a milestone for the French site, but also for our Group as a whole, as it represents a major step forward in terms of "Caring for our planet" (a material topic in our Sustainability Report and our strategy).
