In 2005, a local grain producer, Gary Ruppert, began looking for a method to reduce the heavy lifting and increase productivity, of the hectic harvest season. After enduring the constant in and out of a semi-truck to unload grain from the field, he began designing a device that would accomplish the auger repositioning process without the hassle he was currently experiencing. The result – The Swinger, which became a “lifesaver” for him and his neighbors, and dramatically reduced the excessive time required to unload the bin. Gary retired from active farming in 2009 to devote full-time to manufacturing and modifying The Swinger.
