The students at Cawthra Park arts program in Mississauga, ON. have done such an amazing job telling their story about what they've learned about regenerative agriculture and their role in solving climate change. We partnered with the school (thanks Peel District School Board and Swiirl.io) back in September in a first-of-its-kind project for brands like ours to fund arts programs in exchange for the students telling their story about what they've learned. I wanted to make sure everybody knew how great and impressive this upcoming generation really is! ?? Swiirl Community Call to Action – A Movement Begins ?? Last week, we hosted the first-ever Swiirl Community Call to Action, bringing together community leaders, changemakers, and education leaders from across the regions we serve—Florida, Texas, The Bay Area, Los Angeles County, New York, Greater Toronto Area and beyond. The purpose was simple: to build something bigger together. This was not just a discussion, but a space where real insights, challenges, and solutions were shared by those shaping the future of their communities. Some key themes emerged: ? Access & Equity – How do we close opportunity gaps in schools and communities through brand-funded initiatives? ? Sustainable Partnerships – How do we ensure brands invest in long-term relationships with communities rather than one-off campaigns? ? Authentic Storytelling – How do we ensure marketing dollars are spent with communities, not just on them? This is what Swiirl is all about—the world’s first community-powered creative platform for brands and agencies. We are here to bridge the gap between brands and the communities they want to reach by ensuring campaigns and initiatives are co-created with the very people they aim to engage. Next month, we take it a step further. On the final Thursday in March, we will bring brand partners into the conversation—giving our community direct access to opportunities while ensuring brands connect in a way that is meaningful, measurable, and built for lasting impact. The movement has begun, and this is just the start. More to come! When Local Voices Lead, Everyone Benefits: While many brands talk about uplifting communities, there are some that truly stand behind that commitment—and Cricket Wireless is a shining example. This Black History Month, swiirl is thrilled to support them in spotlighting eight remarkable changemakers making a profound impact in their neighborhoods. Among them are: Kimberly Durdin - A licensed midwife and doula trainer, co-founder of Kindred Space LA—South LA’s only Black-owned birth center. Anya Booker – An educator and filmmaker, serving as Associate Dean/Executive Director at UCLA’s School of Arts and Architecture, honoring cultural narratives that “heal, thrill, and fulfill.” Vernon Lockhart – Founder of Project Osmosis, uplifting young minority talent in art and design to transcend barriers, borders, and boundaries. These three are just part of the larger Cricket Changemakers 2.0 campaign, featuring leaders who champion health and wellness, visibility and acceptance, community giving, and cultural enrichment—all helping to build stronger, more vibrant communities. Edward’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. As a recipient of the Amazon's Future Engineer Scholarship in his freshman year, he’s been using his platform to uplift his community while continuing to grow as a creator, student and professional. With a year-round focus on uplifting youth, our Hispanic Heritage Month campaign recognized the next generation of changemakers eager to push progress forward. We're working with swiirl to showcase young Latino talent and give them a platform to express their process, inspiration, and artistic aspirations. As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we’re excited to highlight Ariana, a talented creator from NEW WORLD SCHOOL OF THE ARTS PTSA in Miami, who collaborated with Cricket Wireless and WWE on an inspiring campaign this Hispanic Heritage Month. Ariana created a beautiful self-portrait for Cricket Wireless and designed an incredible mural for their episode for WWE’s Small Business Superstars, featuring Damien Priest and Mundo Boxing Gym. The mural was brought to life by Colombian artist - Morazul, another talented creator we connected through our platform.
