Severe winds hit Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas Tuesday evening, adding new outages to areas still recovering from yesterday morning's storms, which included two confirmed tornadoes in Louisiana. ?? A National Weather Service Wind Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. today. The strong gusts have complicated our efforts, making bucket trucks unsafe for our line workers at times, and impacting restoration for those still without power. ?? Early Tuesday, powerful storms swept through parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas, bringing damaging winds that caused significant disruptions across our service territory. At the height of the storm, we reported approximately 29,000 outages across our three-state region. The most extensive damage was reported in Texas, particularly in the Marshall and Longview areas, as well as in Louisiana, where the hardest-hit locations included Shreveport and Hornbeck. Our dedicated team is committed to restoring power safely and efficiently. Crews are now assessing damage to identify where repairs are needed.
