138 beds provided at "A Night of Stars & Sweet Dreams" Last week, we were grateful to be a part of an impactful and exhilarating VIP Pre-Opening Party of Paragon Theaters Deerfield IMAX. New to town for this location, Paragon leadership wanted to get involved in the community right away and make their party one that changed lives for the better during their celebrations. Thank you to Neil & Trish Saffer - friends to all - for initiating this impactful collaboration between Paragon Theaters, IMAX, & Sweet Dream Makers! The event welcomed over 150 Paragon and IMAX leadership, members from the community, new friends, and Sweet Dream Makers supporters. With a ribbon cutting, menu samplings, and movie showings, it was a fantastic evening for all who attended. With great honor this morning, our Founder & Executive Director Suzanne Broad accepted the “Amazon Nonprofit of the Year for Innovation” award at the 14th Annual Community Care Plan Nonprofit Awards, hosted by 211 Broward! After expanding our reach from Palm Beach County to also serving our neighbors in need in Broward County in 2021, thousands of children and families have received new beds and bedding. ?? 40 Beds for Broward's Kids! ?? We are honored to share that The Community Foundation of Broward awarded Sweet Dream Makers with funding to provide 40 children in need with new beds and bedding in Broward County. "The Community Foundation of Broward is proud to announce the winners of its new '40 for 40: Spread the Love Grants.' To commemorate its 40th anniversary, the Community Foundation is awarding $400,000 total to help 40 nonprofits make a BOLD impact and shape a brighter future for Broward. Through Sweet Dream Makers, we will elevate 40 children and youth out of detrimental sleeping conditions by providing them with brand-new, quality beds and bedding at no cost to them." As our organization has grown to serve 3,000 children and their families in Broward County this year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude that the Community Foundation is helping us meet the staggering need in our fight against bedlessness. ??
