Swedish’s state-of-the-art North Tower project has entered the next stage of construction: steel framing. Every day, as many as eight truckloads of steel are going into place, helping give our hospital of the future its shape. In the United States, 40 percent of high schoolers reported persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness. Twenty percent said they had seriously considered ending their life. To help, Swedish has partnered with Seattle and King County to provide a school-based health center at Ballard High School. Our care team includes a mental health counselor and nurse practitioner, who offer a wide scope of confidential services, including counseling, nutrition education, injury treatment, immunizations, and more.
