On Tuesday, alongside the consulates of Norway, Denmark, Finland and Lithuania, we organized a panel discussion in support of Ukraine. The panel's theme was “Three Years of Ukraine’s Resilience Against Russia’s Full-Scale Invasion: Charting the Path Forward and Assessing Global Impact,” and was moderated by Consul General Erik Ullenhag. The featured speakers included Sweden's State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dag Hartelius; Norway's State Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Eivind Vad Petersson; Lithuania's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabija Grigait?-Daugird?; the Founder and President of the Institute for the Study of War, Dr. Kimberly Kagan Institute for the Study of War and Dr. Katarzyna Zysk, Professor of International Relations and Contemporary History at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies. We sincerely thank our co-hosts and speakers for their valuable contributions to this important event. ????

Last night, we hosted One Love Community Fridge for conversations about food insecurity in New York City and how we can activate ourselves to address this inequity. We were also joined by the founders of Ferrane Bakery to discuss how the redirection of food and the use of sustainable, high-quality ingredients contribute to a healthier and more equitable culinary landscape. We also thank Mathilda Jacob (2024 winner of the World Cup for Young Bakers) for speaking about how she’ll use her perspective to shape the vision of the bakery with the team at Ferrane. ??

Last Friday evening, the Consulates of Sweden and Norway hosted their 14th annual reception at the Swedish Residence in New York. Held ahead of APAP and ISPA, the evening brought together performers and organizations for networking and collaboration during the surrounding contemporary performing arts festivals. ??? A big thank you to @performingartshubnorway, @nordbergmovement, and the Swedish Arts Council (kulturradet.se) for their incredible support in showcasing talent from Norway and Sweden.
