It was an honor for Swaza to be on the CTA Center Stage at?#CES2023?to open the Global Innovation Startup Showcase. When we think about global challenges that need focused and scalable tech solutions, we can't help but think about how respiratory illness has shaped our world for the last three years--and will continue to challenge us as new threats emerge, as global cities experience environmental stress, and as populations age. The pandemic highlighted a shocking truth: we do not have simple, effective solutions for respiratory distress. Swaza is working to change this with a revolutionary nanofluid breathing aid designed to improve oxygen delivery even in damaged lungs or in extreme conditions---all without the need for complicated equipment or invasive, expensive treatments. This technology will be an important asset for the world's medical resiliency and will save lives.??

Swaza was recognized with the People’s Choice Award at the Poster Showcase Award session at the 2024 Blue Knight Symposium. Further, we had the privilege to present our work to Dawn O'Connell, the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). A big thank you to the event organizers, Rachel Rath, and team for organizing a great event. Also a shout out to Melinda Richter and Gary Disbrow (Director of BARDA) for forming and continually supporting the BARDA x JLABS partnership.

CEO Niki V. Santo kicks off our showcase at the 2024 Blue Knight Symposium where she is highlighting the innovative research and development happening at Swaza. Blue Knight is a joint initiative between Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS ('JLABS') and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
