We’ve got some exciting news! Thanks to the DERA Grant from the Ohio EPA, we were able to install a 100% electric Sennebogen 825 E material handler at our Jackson Pike Transfer Station to help us handle refuse and replace diesel-powered machinery with a more energy-efficient solution. Equipment like this helps us reduce emissions, improve efficiency in our operations and implement sustainability. ? #SWACO #EPA #MaterialHandler #WasteManagementIndustry

Above all, we promote recycling, composting and other waste diversion and reduction efforts. Why should recycling and waste reduction be important you? ? Reducing waste and recycling saves money and is a cheaper alternative to landfilling. ? Recycling materials conserves natural resources and contributes to a healthier environment for current and future generations. ? SWACO has teamed up with the Ohio Clean Marinas program to expand the Ohio Shrink Wrap Recycling Program to Franklin County! ?? This spring, we're piloting the program at Sizzle Marine, where boat shrink wrap (used to protect boats during the off-season) will be recycled instead of ending up in landfills or our waterways.
