Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting Sian Clark Assoc CIPD and the team at The Pet Vet in Bristol. I was warmly welcomed by their Customer Experience Co-ordinator, who explained their innovative approach of no reception desks, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. The newly renovated waiting area is bright, modern, and thoughtfully designed with separate cat and dog seating areas (pictured). All their practices are being updated to share this look and feel. Sian Clark Assoc CIPD gave me a tour of the well-organised practice, featuring dedicated spaces for lab work, dentistry, and imaging. The team were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was positive and joyful. I was particularly impressed by their focus on staff wellbeing, from a dedicated wellness room to regular meetings where ideas and feedback are encouraged. They also support staff pursuing specialties, fostering growth and learning. It’s rewarding to see a candidate I placed there thriving, even being awarded ‘Hero of the Month,’ and to hear how much my locum enjoyed his experience at their Doncaster practice. I’m truly impressed with The Pet Vet’s ethos and look forward to continuing our work together!
