NEWS RELEASE: Today, the City of Danville, together with local and regional partners, celebrated the official ribbon cutting and opening of the Harville-Saunders Parkway! In August of 2024, the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution to name a portion of the Berry Hill Connector Road in honor of Coy Harville and Sherman Saunders, two innovative and local leaders. Saunders, current Danville City Councilman and former Regional Industrial Facility Authority (RIFA) chairman, has served the region for over 25 years, working to bring jobs, businesses, and industries to Southern Virginia. Coy Harville served as chairman for RIFA and the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors, before his passing in August of 2022. Join us in celebrating this exciting day in our region's history! ??
