Hard to tell what we love most about this post: 1. Our ED's pun (good one, Evelyn Kuo Fitzgerald!) 2. Sharing what we know about amplifying social impact with the for-profit world 3. Photographic evidence highlighting an opportunity of how we engage with our SVP and Community Partners outside of #FastPitch 4. The rhyme at the beginning Who says we can't love it all? Thank you to Stephen Hempel for introducing SVP Chicago to the Black and Brown Invenergy employee group (and for taking the photo!) and to Priya Shah and Shawn Sorsby, MBA for the meaningful insight you shared in this panel discussion! #nonprofit #philanthropy #socialimpact #communitybased
Great times as a panelist for Invenergy’s Lunch and Learn today. This event was sponsored by Black and Brown at Invenergy (BBI), led by Reine Rambert, Manager of Global Public Affairs. Stephen Hempel, Sr. Director of Business Transformation, did an excellent job moderating the discussion. It was an honor to be on a panel with non profit experts like Evelyn Kuo Fitzgerald, Executive Director of SVP Chicago, and Priya Shah, Executive Director of The Simple Good. Today we discussed the unique ways we are as leaders investing in our youth, nurturing hope, and creating opportunity in some of Chicago’s most overlooked communities. As a leader in this work, sometimes you can feel like you are at it on your own, and sometimes you feel like a team of the Avengers assembling. Today was the latter. Let’s keep it going folks. #checkmate #astepaheadchess #chesslessons #beyondtheboard
