Signups open next week Dec 2-3 for St. Vincent de Paul's Holiday Food Boxes. You will be able to sign up to receive a food box for you or your family from 9:00AM to 2:00PM Sunday and Monday of next week at the Chad Drive location. After signing up you will receive a ticket which you'll need to redeem for a food box at your scheduled time. Boxes will be prepared and distributed behind the store, drive thru/walk up style on December 21. We're still fundraising for our holiday food drive! If you'd like to make a donation to help build a box for families in need you can do so by either bringing non-perishable food items to our donation barrels at the stores and donation centers, by bringing freezable items to stores like turkeys and hams, or by making a monetary donation at checkout! #fooddrive #holidayfoodboxes #stvincentdepaulfooddrive #nonprofit #holidays

Many of these programs such as our voucher program can be accessed from The Lindholm Center. Our Resident Services Program provides built-in support for tenants in St. Vincent de Paul’s affordable housing. We focus on the opportunity that stability provides and assist families in gaining skills, setting goals and building community. Helping tenants maintain housing and social stability so their households can flourish is the core of the Resident Services Program. Currently, Resident Services is raising money for our annual Season of Joy program to provide holiday gift baskets to seniors living in our affordable housing. You can make a gift towards the purchase of these items by visiting us online.

On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of joining HOPE board president, Terry McDonald, who is also the SVdP Emeritus Director, for an insightful guided tour of HOPE Community Corporation with the Rotary Club of Springfield. Rotary members had the chance to ask questions, witness our home building process from start to finish, tour the homes, and learn about our mission to support low-income homeownership and wildfire recovery efforts. They also discovered the LANE ESD/CTE Hope Factory Program, where students earn two high school credits while gaining on-site skills, industry certifications, and work-based learning opportunities. ? Thank you, HOPE Community Corporation for hosting the event and Springfield Rotary, for your continued interest and engagement in our community!
