  • Talk about a million reasons to be grateful! Today, SVdP received the 1,000,000th salad from our partners at Salad and Go! Every Wednesday for the past five years, they have generously provided the fresh ingredients that our dedicated volunteers use to assemble nourishing salads for our guests across our four charity dining rooms. Thank you Salad and Go, for your continuous support! We're grateful to celebrate this milestone together, and we look forward to many more healthy meals in our community.

  • We have a new Housing 2025 goal! Thanks to YOUR support, we reached our original goal ahead of schedule, helping more than 2,025 people find a place to call home. Now, we’re shifting to homelessness prevention in addition to our rehousing work. The challenge: In Maricopa County, for every 1 person who finds housing, 2 more fall into homelessness. The solution: We’re reversing the current homelessness ratio with our own 12:1 ratio! We will prevent homelessness for 12 people for every one person we rehouse who was experiencing homelessness. By the end of 2025, together we will: ?? Prevent homelessness for 15,840 people ?? Rehouse 1,320 people experiencing homelessness What will it take to achieve this goal? Our entire community! We need your support to achieve this new milestone where we envision a better community for us all, one where no family has to endure the trauma of losing their home. We saw great success with our original Housing 2025 goal, and we know we can achieve this new milestone! ?? Subscribe to our Housing 2025 newsletter: https://lnkd.in/gRkF9Cb2 ?? • A huge thank you to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation,?their partnership with Arizona Public Service - APS and our local Firehouse Subs restaurant?in Phoenix, for awarding us seven Zoll Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and accessories valued at $16,487! These AEDs will help us respond swiftly in cardiac emergencies, ensuring the safety of those we serve and those that serve with us. We had the pleasure of welcoming some APS volunteers to snap a quick photo with our new AEDs, and enjoyed having them volunteer in our kitchen, plating food and helping us chop and prepare meals.

We’re pleased to mark the completion of the renovation project at The Society of St. Vincent De Paul. Thanks to our Builder Captain, Tri Pointe Homes, and their dedicated trade partners, the activity room onsite at the The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Phoenix campus has been updated with new flooring, a fresh coat of paint, a new storage space for the clothing closet and new locks. Electrical work was also completed. We are so grateful to Tri Pointe Homes and all their trade partners who assisted in the renovations of this space. We also want to thank St. Vincent De Paul for letting us partner with them on this project. We look forward to celebrating the completion of this project and recognizing the hard work of our trade partners later this month in a small dedication ceremony. • In just three months since opening, Rosalie’s Place, SVdP’s new workforce housing with 71 beds, is already making a remarkable impact with 72% of residents employed! The program is designed for people experiencing homelessness who want to rejoin the workforce or are already actively working. It takes a three-pronged approach to resolving homelessness by helping residents... ??Establish reliable employment with sufficient income ??Demonstrate healthy financial management ??Secure housing within budget Read about some of the early success we've witnessed as you meet residents, including graduated resident Vina Ochoa who was the first to move out: https://lnkd.in/gvvYqatK

  • Congratulations to our 2024 Diabetes Prevention Program graduates! St. Vincent de Paul’s Ben and Catherine Ivy Center for Family Wellness is one in many accredited centers in the country that deliver the National Diabetes Prevention Program.
