SV Design had the pleasure of working with Lark Hotel’s The Cove at Salem on an addition and gut renovation that turned 27 existing motel units into a mix of 27 suites. This thoughtfully designed renovation added an entry porch along the entire length of the building and a two-story addition, which established a street presence with a modern twist that aligns with the local historical architecture. Alicia Bernardo, AIA, project manager on SV Design’s commercial team, and Darguin Fortuna, AIA, Principal of Flow Design Architects, recently visited Higgins Middle School for their Try it Day to inspire and teach young learners about what it’s like to be in the design industry. SV Design attended the Bisnow Boston Affordable Housing Conference yesterday where our very own Stefano Basso, AIA, Principal, was honored to be a panelist discussing "Development Opportunities Across Mixed-Income, Workforce & 100% Affordable: Strategies for Addressing Diverse Housing Needs Through Different Development Models." The panel featured an incredible group of leaders in the affordable housing development space who shared valuable insights and strategies to address evolving housing needs across Massachusetts. It was a fantastic morning of learning and networking, with a focus on shaping the future of affordable housing in our state.
