Device industry scrambles as FDA job cuts cause delays! Founders, What is the plan! The recent FDA employees firing is already impacting medical device submissions, potentially delaying new products and increasing pressure on remaining staff. Advamed Group, a major industry lobby group, warned the cuts could harm medical device companies and patient safety. Delays in current applications have been reported, and concerns have been raised about the impact on complex devices like those using AI. Attorney M. Jason Brooke noted that the firings have already disrupted meetings and could add months or years to product timelines. Major medical device companies have not commented on the situation.
