Decades of factory closures and outsourcing have eroded America’s industrial base, leaving the nation vulnerable to supply chain disruptions, as seen during COVID-19. Dependence on foreign manufacturers, including adversarial nations, threatens economic resilience and national security. While recent policy efforts aim to boost domestic production, true revival hinges on empowering small and mid-sized manufacturers, which employ the majority of the workforce. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the dialog! While I'm optimistic about many of the things we are doing to invest in and expand US manufacturing, it is essential we include mid-market manufacturers in these programs. The strength of American manufacturing resides in entrepreneurial small and medium-sized businesses spread throughout the country.

American manufacturing has taken a beating, but there’s hope on the horizon. Over 15 years selling equipment, I witnessed small towns devastated by the offshoring wave of the early 2000s.
