The Carbon Tracker allows users to make informed choices to reduce household carbon emissions, helping them estimate and understand their household’s emissions and compare them with others in the same zip code. • ?? Exciting News! ?? Sustainable Westchester has been awarded $100,000 through NYSERDA's $32 million Clean Mobility Program to support clean transportation planning in Westchester County. This funding will allow us to conduct a Mobility Planning Study focused on the City of Mount Vernon, which will help identify community-led priorities and explore equitable, sustainable transportation solutions for underserved communities. Through this study, we will assess local transportation needs and evaluate options such as on-demand EV ride-hailing and flexible-route public transit services. The goal is to help communities prepare for future implementation of clean mobility solutions that improve accessibility, reduce emissions, and create a more connected and sustainable transportation network. We’re excited to drive this work forward and bring innovative, accessible transportation options to Westchester. Stay tuned for updates! We are thrilled to announce that we’ve set an enrollment record with our #GridRewards platform, providing over 13,800 NYC and Westchester utility customers with cash payments for #energy savings while enabling building owners to comply with Local Law 97 through reduced #carbon emissions! Incredible findings from a recent study by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory show that GridRewards users are using 30.1% less carbon! This is achieved through our alerts and educational content, encouraging residents to adopt better energy-saving habits. By making simple adjustments, such as turning off unnecessary lights and timing high-energy activities wisely, users are not only saving money but also contributing to a cleaner environment. Collectively, our users contributed to a reduction of nearly 15 MW in energy demand—equivalent to taking about 5,000 cars off the road!??? Jeff Hendler, our CEO, remarked, “GridRewards is empowering people to engage with their energy use like never before, turning simple actions into meaningful financial rewards and real environmental impact.” We’re proud to continue our partnership with Sustainable Westchester, helping thousands of customers strengthen our power grid and reduce pollution—all while earning direct cash payments. ?? Let’s drive a cleaner, more resilient energy future together! Interested in joining us? The deadline to enroll for the 2025 season is April 30, 2025. Download the GridRewards app today for free!
