Support Acterra's HomeGrown Bay Area's community "food forest" initiative in San Jose. The idea is creating a space for low-input long-lived plantings that will provide the community with nutritious food, green space, carbon drawdown, the well-being benefits of gardening, and plenty of environmental educational opportunities for adults and youth to understand where food comes from. This project of Acterra's arose from community members in San Jose recognizing a strong need for more community garden space and wanting to do something about it.
