Heads up! CalRecycle published their revised regulatory text for the California Extended Producer Responsibility (#EPR) Law, SB54 yesterday. Stakeholders have until October 29th to submit public comments for consideration by CalRecycle. One notable change under Article 5: Requirements for Producers: CalRecycle has recommended that "On or before July 1, 2025, each producer shall register with the Department." Our Director Olga Kachook contributed her thoughts to the news: "While plastic and Styrofoam are problematic, they 'often have unique properties that are difficult to replace.
