The Sustainable Coffee Challenge’s "Grounds for Action" 2024 annual report features 4 dashboards for people, planet, coffee and markets that measure progress against our 2025 targets. This week’s highlight is ? COFFEE, ensuring that we ensure a resilient supply of coffee through investments in climate change adaptation. The annual report shows a ?? 201% increase year-over-year in funding for renovation, rehabilitation, and technical assistance, bringing the total invested to more than $9M since 2020. Partners also reported roughly $740k of funding directed toward R&D in 2023, a 30% increase year-over-year, including investments into climate-resilient coffee varietals.?#sustaincoffee ?? Stakeholder data shares that we’re at 16% completion -- we still have work to do. While we’ve planted more than 17M non-coffee trees through the years, if partners stopped here, it would take 263 more to reach our 2025 target of sequestering 100 million tCO2.
