?? Welcome to the Team, Jean! ?? We’re thrilled to introduce Jean, the talented team member behind the machine making our recycled plastic bricks. Jean is a quick learner, constantly improving the quality of the bricks and working hard to bring our vision of sustainable classrooms to life. Here’s a little about Jean in his own words: “My name is AGBESSI Jean, and I am from Notsé, currently living in TCHOUMIKPOTA. I’m a big fan of music, and I love spending my free time playing instruments whenever I can. I also love to spend time with my family. I decided to join Sustainable Classrooms because, after learning about the project, I felt deeply connected because I always aim for the education of the youth in this community and I saw this as a way to contribute to the progress of this meaningful project.” We are incredibly fortunate to have Jean on our team. His dedication to education and work ethic are already making a huge difference as we work toward building brighter futures for Togo’s students. ?? Please join us in giving Jean a warm welcome in the comments below! #WelcomeToTheTeam #SustainableClassrooms #MeetTheTeam #BuildingFuturesBrickByBrick #Togo #NGO #Nonprofit #TeamSpotlight #Sustainability

David is our first official hire, bringing incredible energy and dedication to his role as an interpreter—a title he’s already outgrowing with his skills and commitment. “Hey there! My name is David, and I am from Accra, Ghana. I’m honored to be part of the Sustainable Classrooms community. I’m passionate about human development and wellbeing in all its spheres. I’m excited about all the wonderful things we can accomplish for the environment and individuals at large. I look forward to a healthy world and happy accomplished inhabitants of it. I love football and love to play in my free time and my favorite team is FC Barcelona. I also love to spend time with my family because they are my greatest joy in life and I love being with them always.” David is humble and left out that he’s a true polyglot, fluent in six languages, including French, English, Ewe, Twi, Gan, and Fante. I'm a very proud Alumni of the University of Idaho, where I was encouraged to explore and launch Style Her Empowered (SHE). Last week, President Scott Green and his team graciously shared about our work at SHE and the amazing UI professor who made our work in Togo possible, Dr. Romuald K. Afatchao, Ph.D, LL.M. He also shared about an exciting example of the next generation of social entrepreneurs, Jestine Lackner, and the partnership we're building with her program, Sustainable Classrooms. Thanks so much to our Vandal Community for your continued support and encouragement. Here's the link to President Green's Friday Letter if you'd like to read it! ????
