The #DesignYourClimateCareer course that I co-founded with the sustainability training experts at Voiz Academy is going so well that in addition to continuing to run our live cohort-based program (the next one begins on May 18th!) we're also offering an #ondemand version?because sometimes you want to get started with your job search RIGHT NOW! The reason this has me so excited is that it allows job seekers to get started the moment that they’re ready to, and they can go through the course at the pace that works best for them. This means more people can get the support that they need, right when they need it, which will help get more people working in climate and sustainability sooner! The Voiz team has also begun offering their rigorous sustainability upskilling programs on-demand as well. Our Vision A world where students and professionals in sustainability have a clear understanding of the career options available in the space, the skills and resources required to succeed, and what growth and success looks like in each path. About Trish Kenlon, Sustainable Career Pathways founder I’ve been a sustainability professional for over ten years. In that time I’ve seen enormous growth in both the number and variety of jobs that fall under the sustainability umbrella. Governments, utilities, and companies are changing their attitudes and perspectives on what it means to operate responsibly, and entrepreneurs are seizing the opportunity to create new products, services, and even industries. It’s a rapidly evolving landscape and the career paths in this space are anything but linear. It can be hard to know where to start when planning your career as a student, or how to grow as a mid-career professional. I started this website because I wanted to create a space that would help us all navigate on our professional journeys by giving real-world examples of what these career pathways are really like, and the tools and inspiration we need to succeed in them. One of the most rewarding parts of working in this space has been being surrounded by the passion, energy, and enthusiasm of everyone I meet. Networking and sharing ideas is a big part of how we get things done as a community. It’s a group of the nicest people you’ll ever get to know, and it’s my pleasure to welcome you to it.
