This cutting-edge accelerator and the newly established Michigan Climate Investment Hub are designed to supercharge clean energy projects and green lending across Michigan. ???? Here’s how this initiative will make a difference: ? Funding for Community Lenders: $10M in matching grants will empower community lenders, including credit unions and green banks, to expand green lending and tap into the federal Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. ? Technical Assistance: $1M is dedicated to helping community lenders build capacity to apply for federal funds, ensuring Michigan leads in sustainable financing. ? Cleaner Energy, Lower Costs: Funds will support green loans for local households and businesses, covering energy efficiency upgrades, renewable tech, EV charging, and more. Driven by public-private partnerships, including support from The Kresge Foundation, this initiative is a major step toward achieving the goals of the MI Healthy Climate Plan and creating good-paying, clean energy jobs in Michigan.
