Happy Skip The Straw Day! ?? ?? In 2019 the NHS bid to cut up to 100 million plastic straws from hospitals, attempting to reduce the use of single-use plastics. In April 2020, the NHS signed a plastic reduction pledge where signatories committed to no longer purchase single-use plastic stirrers and straws, except where a person has a specific need, in line with the government consultation. The journey to reduce single-use plastic has a long way to go, however at Sustainability Partnerships, we are passionate about driving further sustainable change in our healthcare system. Another double winner, Ozone Health Ltd won the Software Award and the Supplier Award at the 2024 Sustainability Awards! ?? Ozone Health are a clinical and digital healthcare company, providing remote medical services. They submitted their project ‘The Dermatologist Will See You Now! – Making Dermatology Services Sustainable and Accessible’. The project was based around combatting staff shortages in the NHS and providing a more direct route to dermatology consultations for conditions such as cancer. An incredible and well-deserving project, our judges Ben Tongue and Banan Osman awarded Ozone Health both Supplier and Software Awards! ?? Well done once again, Ozone Health! ??

We hosted our 2024 Sustainability Partnership Awards in December, where we welcomed our esteemed judges to announce the winners on a dynamic livestream ?? NuGreen Ltd | Certified B Corporation ?? are a sustainability consultancy, helping to improve waste segregation in the healthcare sector. Specialising in plastic reduction and recycling medical waste. Their award submission was based around: Improving recycling rates, reducing costs and carbon emissions in healthcare through, the NuGreen 4 Stage Approach through optimise waste segregation. Our judges Richard Hixson and Alexis Percival were so impressed with the project and its impact on the NHS, NuGreen was awarded both the Carbon Award and the Circular Economy Award! ??
