As a first time female founder, when I learned that only 2% of funding went to women I was shocked ??. What were the chances I would get funded? Not only was the idea of fundraising overwhelming, I knew I was missing out on this invisible ecosystem. As I learned more and more about the fundraising, I realized there was so much I had to uncover. ? How was a founder busy spending their time research and building supposed to balance finding all this information? ?? That’s when I decided, if this was a problem I faced, so did many others. ??? As an effort to support founders and decrease the gender gap, I went on a mission to find people who could answer the questions I had. The more I search, the more I realize there’s a wealth of knowledge people need to know. As a non-profit pre-accelerator, we take NO EQUITY. We support founders with information because our incentive is to help. I believe that in order for positive change, we need diversity. We need to level the playing field, so that great people, and great companies have a fair chance at creating impact. ????
