A force united by a promise to end breast cancer, funding groundbreaking research, community health & advocacy programs.
关于我们
In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. Two years later, that promise became the Susan G. Komen? organization and the beginning of a global movement. For over 40 years, we've led the way funding groundbreaking research, community health initiatives and advocacy programs in local communities across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries. And with your help, we’ll continue pushing for progress to end breast cancer every day, until it’s a thing of the past. Today, the Screening for Communities to Receive Early and Equitable Needed Services (SCREENS) for Cancer Act was reintroduced in the U.S. House! The SCREENS for Cancer Act reauthorizes a critical program – the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP). This program helps women across the country with low incomes gain access to timely breast and cervical cancer screening, diagnostic and treatment services. This bill will increase access, reduce burdens and save lives. We urge the 119th Congress to swiftly pass this bill! When Phyllis learned she had metastatic (stage 4) breast cancer, "It was shocking and overwhelming. I was sad," she said. "But I realized I had to get up and see what's next, that I couldn't give up." Right now, a donation to Komen will provide direct patient support to over 40,000 people facing breast cancer this year, their family and caregivers. And your gift today is matched 3x by our partners at Wacoal America. https://bit.ly/4bzoObf
